  • Sawadee Kha! I’m about to go to Koh Samui and I’m sooo excited about my holiday. Already got my flight to Bangkok and from there to Samui, I found your great site on Google and it seems that you know a lot about this island. Could you please give me a hint where to stay on Koh Samui? I’ve read there are a couple of good bungalows near Bophut and Choeng Mon… Thank you in advance!

Already booked my flight to Suvarnabhumi Airport and from there to Samui, I saw your great site on Msn and it seems that you know a lot about Samui. Would you please give me a hint where to stay on the island? I’ve read there are a couple of fantastic resorts near Chaweng and Lamai… Thank you in advance!

  • Have just returned from a vacation on Samui, stayed at Samui Paradise in Maenam which is less busy than Chaweng Beach, great resort and great bays. We rented a big motorbike for only 400 baht per day and would drive around the island. So many marvelous places to eat, our favourite restaurant was Ahan thai Aroy in Chaweng Noi which had the most fantatisc view over the beach, the staff was quite nice and the food so yummy, we would go for sunrise drinks. My girlfriend and I had a brilliant time and will be back for Christmas.

  • Very interesting post about Samui Villa. Thanks very much admin ! I`ll definitely come again your blog. Keep up the good work !

  • I was in Samui for the last 2 weeks of February 2007 and had a fantastic time – I always do! The grooviest part of the year is between late May until November (the monsoon season). When I was there, it rained down a hardly a couple of times, but then speedily dried up after. Many people visit in the high season (November to March) because of pleasant temperatures, red skies and low rain. As a result tourism is at its highest and everything can be a little more pricey. Hotels and tours can be quite packed and some tourist hot spots are not quite so laid back.

  • The food on Samui Island is fantastic and cheap, all the locals we met were very nice and anxious to advice use. We stayed at Nirvana Thai- a completely different place to the hectic tourist trap in Chaweng.
