One thing that is sure about Madrid<\/strong> <\/a>is that the “Madrile\u00f1os” is that they certainly know the exact way of enjoying life, that too to the fullest. Madrid has a charm of its own and it is in fact, the capital city of Spain that can proudly boast of being rich in culture and heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Madrid<\/a><\/strong> is a great place for shopaholics with its bustling Gran Via offering some very fine stores in the entire Europe. Madrid also has a lot for children so that they remain amused. Children that are on a visit to spain with their families can keep themselves busy with Zoo-Aquarium, the wax museum, the Faunia theme park, amusement parks and the Warner Bros. Madrid theme park.<\/span><\/p>\n

The city is also known for the great nightlife. Theaters, cinemas, restaurants, nightclubs, floor shows, opera — you can choose the preferred mode of entertainment. During the day, you can keep engaged in sensational sightseeing, most of which can be done from an open-top tour bus which won’t let you feel tired as the walk may do.<\/span><\/p>\n

The royal palace on the Palacio Real is also a place of importance in Spain. This royal palace has been the Spanish Royal monarchy’s residence since 1764. Across the courtyard of the place lies the Royal Armory and, the beautiful Sabatini Gardens. The Cathedral of the Almudena is also nearby.\u00a0 The cathedral has recently been in news for being the spot where Prince Felipe married his true love.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Plaza Mayor in Madrid<\/strong><\/a> is a huge square made of 3-storey buildings that were constructed way back in 1617 such that the statue of Felipe III sitting on a horseback was enshrined in its center. Another major attraction is Prado Museum that contains the world’s greatest compilation of Spanish paintings. Museo Thyseen-Bornemisza and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda are also worth visiting.<\/span><\/p>\n

A lot of gardens and pleasant parks also attract a lot of tourists. 12-hectare Parque del Buen Retiro that has two palaces with the central lake is another major attraction in Madrid. Madrid<\/strong><\/a> also gets noted for its beautiful fountains like that of the Fountain of Neptune and la Cibeles present in the central Plaza de la Cibeles.<\/span><\/p>\n
