Spain<\/a> <\/strong>is one among those countries which is currently undergoing a massive change and is continuously on the move. Covered with mountainous terrain, rich in natural beauty and history; Spain has always been a traveler\u2019s dream. <\/span><\/p>\n

With high speed railways conquering the mountainous territory, many cities boast of having tram networks and modern metros which provide a concrete evidence of the growing economy. However this country still maintains its ancient heritage in its vast countryside, castles, world famous museums, beautiful beaches and not to forget the fiestas (popular events).<\/span><\/p>\n

Time could be a constraint while visiting new countries and choosing a few places from among a huge list can be challenging. Here is a list of the \u201cmust see\u201d places in and around Spain for people traveling to Spain<\/strong><\/a> for the first time: <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Madrid<\/strong>: This capital city of Spain<\/strong> <\/a>is a spectacular place packed with architecture, museums, dining and entertainment. Art lovers would find themselves spending days and weeks visiting some of the world famous museums. Even for people who are not entranced with art, the \u201cGolden Triangle\u201d is a must see. This Triangle consists of the three most famous museums in Spain; El Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Royal Palace is another important place that you cannot afford to miss. Old Town Madrid is again an important place to be explored. In addition to roaming around the streets, this is a good place for food and shopping. Make sure to try some \u201ctapas\u201d as a tasca which is a Spanish snack plate served in different varieties like vegetable tapas, meat tapas, desert tapas, etc. And finally do not miss the trendy nightclubs which offer really spirited dancing and singing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toledo<\/strong><\/a>: Toledo, the former Spanish capital is a well known \u201cWorld Heritage Site\u201d as stated by UNESCO. Its location over a hill just above River Tagus gives a 150 degree view of the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most important places to be visited here are the Cathedral de Toledo which is a Gothic style cathedral from the 13th century, Museo de la Greco which contains some of the artists\u2019 best known paintings, Santa Maria le Blanca which is the oldest standing synagogue in the whole of Europe, the Alcazar which is a stone fortification located on the highest part of Toledo and many other mosques, museums and churches. The architecture and spirit of Toledo depict a blend of Christianity, Islam and Judaism.<\/span><\/p>\n
