So, they designed and built a wall around the city. These ancient people are so ingenious that they apart from building the wall, also built observatory posts on the wall. To reach the wall they built steps at strategic places. The wall has path way for the soldiers to move men and material. On the top of it, the walls are so strong that it has survived even several centuries after they were built. <!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Palace<\/strong>: This palace Palau de l&#8217;Almundaina is believed to have been built in the 14th century at the place where the Arabs had built a fortress. Part of the palace is being used by the Royal heirs of Spain and the other part is open to public. There is a garrison for the soldiers to rest and there is an armory also. This imposing building with small chamber but high doom has floor conducive to be used as a under floor heating. There is very beautiful but small garden with attractive furniture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Festivals<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you are visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clubvillamar.com\/villas\/spain\/mallorca\/crestatx\/pribiscus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Palma<\/strong><\/a>, just program your visit to January because you will be lucky to witness the great festival celebrated in honor of Saint Antoni. In this, people in most beautifully colored dresses ride horse and seek the blessing of great Saint Antoni. Actually they pray the Saint to bless the animals.\u00a0 Immediately after this festival, Saint Sebastian festival is held which is attended by thousands of people. In this festival there will be music, dance and streets being illuminated and there will be fireworks etc which makes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clubvillamar.com\/villas\/spain\/mallorca\/alaro\/can-cabrit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Palma<\/strong><\/a> a paradise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Shopping and stay<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For shopping one can just walk in to Placa Cort which is actually a shopping area. It is a building constructed out of bricks and has two rooms. One of them is the bath room and the other room contains ruins of small baths. There are gardens surrounding the building which give this ancient cultural remnant a beautiful look.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Old City<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It is located on the south-eastern part of Palma<\/strong>. The place shows a glimpse of the Arab civilization. The narrow streets form a maze which is a characteristic of the place.
