But if you want to experience the real and authentic Spanish islands, then you must visit must visit Gran Canaria\u2019s Maspalomas dunes, Mountains of Fire in Lanzarote, Lanzarote\u2019s spectacular house of Caesar Manrique , El Teide in Tenerife which is the highest point in Spain amongst other places.  Lanzarote  Charco de los Clicos can rightly be called the gem of Lanzarote. Charco de los Clicos is actually a cliff that is enclosed with a beach. The place is great to explore and gather tiny green peridots that are blown out by a dormant volcano.  Los Hervideros, which is a tube cave that was formed when the trapped lava and volcanic gases exploded out to flow and meet the sea in order to form deep caves and blow-holes. Today also, the forces of the sea continue to hit the coarse black rocks with a tough vigor, crafting an ever-changing shore.  Fuerteventura   A colonial showplace in La Olivia that has recently been restored named Casa de los Coroneles is known for its intricate carved balconies, magnificent wooden doors and paneled Windows. One can have a picturesque view from the tiled roof, the terrace and the towers.  Poblado de La Atalayita is a recently inaugurated interpretation center in Pozo Negro village that has been built in the millennium\u2019s first BC by the Berber people from North Africa. You can explore its remains using a descriptive map that will lead you to different layers of habitation. The trail can be continued to a small volcanic cone if you want to climb up for bird watching.  Tenerife  Other than El Teide\u2019s huge crater, you can strike off the road to move on top of the Cumbre Dorsal, which is Tenerife\u2019s east-west spine. The El Teide\u2019s summit best views are available from this road and also from the top of the ridge that divides the island. Fantastic rock formations that are carved by the high winds on the sandstone at La Tara are also worth appreciation.  Puerto de la Cruz\u2019s Risco Bello Aquatic Gardens that is known for their ponds and pools that are set in flower beds that contain more than 600 varieties of plant, unfold a path for you to explore and get submerged in the tranquil beauty.  Gran Canaria  You can discover a completely different microclimate by driving along the rim of Caldera Bandama and experience hiking down towards the floor of a dormant volcanic crater. Locals in the town have beautiful built homes on the steep cliffs. This has been a practice since the time Guanches survived
