It is really so, every tourist who visits Spain<\/strong><\/a> is always busy, not with his usual business dealings or official work but he is busy enjoying nature, busy relaxing on the beach or understanding history in the midst of rich vegetation and rejuvenating himself. Perhaps it can be said that there is no place in Spain which does not have a church or chapel,\u00a0 a castle and other interesting places like a magnificent park or a museum, etc. This is true of Zaragoza<\/strong> also.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zaragoza is actually administered by a local municipality but is a part of the Aragon province.<\/strong><\/a> The earlier name of this city was Salduba; located near the famous river Ebro<\/strong><\/a>, the place is rich in vegetation. Zaragoza is famous for many cathedrals, palaces and many other places of interest for tourists. Here is a brief introduction to some of the places of interest in Zaragoza:<\/span><\/p>\n

Palace: <\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Aljaferia palace was built in the 11th century for the Arab Sultans during the Moorish invasion. During the Christian rule, it became the palace of some of the catholic monarchs. The Queen Isabella<\/strong> <\/a>also built a throne room which is unbelievably beautiful. Inside the palace there is a mosque. There are beautiful fountains, arches which are interlocking, beautiful inner courtyard which is full of beautiful paintings and sculpture works. On the whole, this palace is something wonderful.<\/span>
\n \"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/span>Cathedral: <\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The Seo Del Salvador cathedral is another astounding work of Gothic<\/strong><\/a> culture and naturally built in traditional Gothic style. According to historians, this cathedral was built during the period 1119 to 1520. Another interesting feature of this cathedral is a beautiful combination of Arab, Roman, Gothic and Renaissance architecture which only suggests that the cathedral has undergone renovation at different points of time. <\/span><\/p>\n

Inside the cathedral there is a museum which has collection of art work of French artists dating back to the 15th century. There is also a famous Basilica of Nuestra Senora<\/strong> <\/a>which is built just on the banks of river Ebro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roman wall: <\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Historians say that Romans built a wall around this town about 2000 years back. This beautiful wall is preserved to cherish the memories of the Roman Empire. Again there are three museums which are also named after the three famous people of the Roman Empire, namely Termas Publicas de Caesaraugusta, Foro Romano and Caesaraugusta<\/strong><\/a>. The museum also has a theatre, public baths, etc. Apart from this, the museums have art works of Roman period.<\/span><\/p>\n
