You can enjoy drinking and dancing in the city streets while the Carnival is going on. This Carnival is hosted between second half of February and March and it happens to be the biggest countrywide celebration that takes place in the year. You can almost spend a week enjoying Semana Santa<\/strong><\/a>. A lot of non-religious events also take place during this week. Make sure to be a part of these festivals.<\/span><\/p>\n

For watching live performances, watch Sardana which is catalan dance. During Fiesta de la Merc\u00e8<\/strong><\/a> that takes place during September you will find many such performances. Barri G\u00f3tic (the old town) is known for Barcelona’s architectural masterpieces. Also watch the Gothic Cathedral, the Palau de la Generalitat, the Episcopal Palace and the Pla\u00e7a del Rei.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barcelona<\/strong> <\/a>inhabitants are affable hosts, but the due to constant flow of affluent tourists, pick pocketing and tourist scams have also become common. Keep your belongings and wallet safely. In order to avoid being misguided, do carry maps and information leaflets.<\/span><\/p>\n
