\"\"<\/a>Some of the tourists are of the opinion that it is difficult to make a list of places of interest in Spain.<\/strong> This is because every place in Spain has something to interest the tourist. Segovia is the capital of the province of similar name and it is just about 35 kms from Madrid. This beautiful city<\/strong><\/a> moderately populated with about 55000 inhabitants is always flocked by tourists. <\/span><\/p>\n

The history of Sagovia<\/strong> <\/a>dates back to the time of Celts. Even the Roman and Moors had occupied this place. Known for its beautiful natural environment, Sagovia is considered to be the best choice for a merry holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cathedral: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This most imposing building of Gothic architecture<\/strong><\/a> believed to have been built in 1525 is popular for the ivory image of Virgin de la Paz. The image is installed on a marble altar. This image is believed to have been carved in the 14th century. The entire cathedral is richly decorated. The place around the cathedral is surrounded by beautiful gardens.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chapterhouse of the cathedral and the cloister are also lavishly decorated. The Cathedral<\/strong> <\/a>museum has many precious collections which are of great religious value. Normally every visitor makes it a point to visit this cathedral.

Plaza de San Pablo: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Casa de Lozoya and Palacio del Conde are the two mansions which are located at a short distance from Plaza de San Pablo.<\/strong><\/a> These mansions are believed to have been built in 14th century. According to the records of the history, these two mansions were being used as a place for inquisition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Museum: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Almost every province in Spain has museums. <\/strong>The Provincial museum of fine arts is one of the most popular and most acclaimed museums of Sagovia.<\/strong> <\/a>This museum is also frequently visited by many tourists throughout the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

San Antonio el Real: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This is a monastery of San Antonio el Real which is believed to have been built in the 15th century by the King Henry IV.<\/strong><\/a> This monastery is popular for its beautiful structure. The monastery has a church which also receives large number of visitors every day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roman Aqueduct: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This is one of the most important places which no visitor can afford to miss.<\/strong> This Roman Aqueduct is located in the centre of the city. In fact this is a living example of the beautiful Roman Structure<\/strong><\/a>. This is actually a water channel bringing water from a distance of about 17 kms through this duct.<\/span><\/p>\n
