The city is also popular because people of Jewish, Moor and Christian culture live here in complete religious harmony. Toledo has given the world many renowned artists. Some of the artists born in Toledo include Garcilaso de la vega, Alfoso, Al Zarqali, Eleanor, El Greco. The city is also popular because of its natural beauty and ideal conditions for tourists.<\/p>\n

This cathedral is also called Cathedral of Saint Mary or the Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary.<\/strong> The cathedral is known for its immaculately beautiful building which is built in typical Gothic style. Archaeologists are of the opinion that this cathedral is typical of Bourges Cathedral which is another contemporary structure. They also say this structure was actually a mosque and later it was converted and recognized as a cathedral. It is a beautiful structure with imposing works of sculpture. Archaeologists are of the opinion that the cathedral has been built out of stones brought from Olihuelas which is near the city of Toledo.

It is said that Moors built 10 mosques in Toledo out of which Cristo de la Luz is the only mosque which could be preserved as an example of Moorish architecture for the next generation to see. This small structure measuring about 8 sq meters is believed to have been built in the year 996. The interior of the Mosque has been divided into nine compartments and each of these compartments has been designed distinctively. It is a place which should never be missed.
