In the street Alcalde Jacinto, you can find the church of Santa Maria, from the year 1560.\u00a0In front of the church, there is a fountain with a marble statue of Mojaquera, which is actually a woman in authentic dress with face covered in Arabic way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourist attractions <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Almeria is well connected due to its public transportation, but walking is much better because there is a lot to be seen.\u00a0The city has an excellent selection of art galleries, museums and shops.\u00a0There are excellent museums such as Museo de fotografias, Centro de Arte &#8211; Museo de Almeri and Museo Arqueol\u00f3gica.\u00a0All of them do not charge tickets.<\/p>\n<p>The Center of Almeria extends from Fort Alcazaba in the west to Rambla de Bela on the east.\u00a0<strong>At the heart of the city is La Rambla, a long avenue with its picturesque shipyards, street cafes and playgrounds for children<\/strong>.\u00a0Squares are dominated with beautiful fountains.<\/p>\n<p>There are parks with trails which are shaded by trees.\u00a0Even though this region does not get much rain, it has a lot of greenery.<\/p>\n<p>Shops are full of Spanish and foreign goods.\u00a0You can find great discounts there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Restaurants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fraga Iribarne and Konsepsion Arenal are streets which offer good restaurants and bars with seafood and other fish dishes.<\/p>\n<p>However, the best places with affordable prices are in the parts around the<strong> Puerta de Pur\u0107ena and the Paseo de Almeria<\/strong>. &#8220;Alfarevos&#8221; and &#8220;Sol de Almeria&#8221; are also<strong> great restaurants<\/strong> with tasteful seafood.\u00a0&#8220;Bodega Montenegro\u201d, near the cathedral, offers authentic local dishes such as Chorizo (sausage) and Albondigas (meatballs in tomato sauce).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are a visitor to the Almeria region, then you should visit the water park Mario as well.
