This structure has undergone lots of changes over a period of time and hence reflects the Mudejar, Renaissance, Gothic, Baroque and <strong>Neo-classical architectural styles. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Royal Alc\u00e1zar of Seville<\/strong> \u2013 is the place where Carlos V married Isabel of Portugal.<strong> This palace deteriorated over a period of time and was renovated by Isabel II.<\/strong> Inside the building there are two courtyards \u2013 Las Doncellas where official work was done and Las Mu\u00f1ecas which was used for private purposes. <strong>The 16th century staircase provided for accessing the top floor has the paintings of Madrazo and Roelas. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Monuments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.<strong>Mar\u00eda Luisa Park<\/strong> \u2013 was gifted by the Duchess of Montpellier in 1893. Its shape is a trapezium and it has two avenues \u2013 Pizarro and Hern\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s \u2013 that crisscross each other. This park is full of plants and fountains and is ideal for strollers. <strong>Statues and fountains are provided at the meeting points of the avenues making it appear like an open air museum.<\/strong> Frogs fountain and Lions fountain are the best fountains. Duck and Lotus pools are also famous.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plaza de Espa\u00f1a Square<\/strong> \u2013 was designed and built in 1929 by An\u00edbal Gonz\u00e1lez for conducting the Ibero-American exhibition. The ceramic benches were put all round the square and painted to represent all Spanish provinces. <strong>It is being used as a cultural meeting place.<\/strong> Exposed bricks, wrought iron and ceramics were used in this building. It has a semicircular floor plan.
