Jardin canario (Canarian Garden) de Las Palmas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is probably one of <strong>the most beautiful Botanical Gardens you have ever seen<\/strong>. And what\u2019s more, admission is <strong>free<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>This Las Palmas garden is <strong>divided into several gardens and attractions<\/strong>, each dedicated to indigenous species, and all of them offer an excellent introduction to the island\u2019s flora. The garden covers a steeply sloping arid area, and at the bottom is the damp, green gorge of Guiniguada, comprising many different natural environments. You will find varieties of plants that you have never seen before, like the candelabra euphorbia, sempervivum succulents and dragon trees, and there are also palms, pines, laurels and cacti.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The cactus garden is a firm favourite<\/strong> with most of the visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Wander through the gorge and discover all the subtropical plants and feed the ducks that you will find swimming there. It is the <strong>ideal place for a family outing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>7. Caldera de Bandama, Las Palmas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the north of the island, some kilometres south of the capital, Las Palmas, you will find <strong>El Pico de Bandama<\/strong>, and off to one side of it, <strong>La Caldera de Bandama<\/strong>, and <strong>old and impressive volcanic crater.<\/strong> The route there is an experience in itself. All the way along the path <strong>incredible views<\/strong> open up to you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>El Pico<\/strong> (the summit) reaches an altitude of<strong> 600 metres<\/strong> and offers a <strong>beautiful view over the north east<\/strong> of the island, especially over the capital, Las Palmas.<\/p>\n<p>The crater, with a diameter of <strong>1,000 metres,<\/strong> is <strong>the biggest on the island<\/strong> and has a depth of 200 metres. Walk over the pathway of stones and lava and<strong> enjoy the awe-inspiring view over the crater<\/strong>. Down below you can see the remains of a small farmhouse and some goats walking about. Within the busy town of Las Palmas, there is a real oasis called<strong> \u201cCiudad Jard\u00edn\u201d<\/strong> (City Garden), whose main attraction is the Parque Doramas.<\/p>\n<p>This<strong> magnificent park<\/strong> is <strong>full of fountains, charming ponds filled with carp and other fish, interesting statues, a municipal swimming pool and numerous types of indigenous flowers and plants.<\/strong> There is also <strong>a monument representing the indigenous people (<\/strong>the Guanches), who threw themselves over a precipice to escape capture, and which symbolises the resistance of their Chief, Doramas, after whom the park is named.<\/p>\n<p>This is a place <strong>much enjoyed by families<\/strong>, especially on Sundays when there is a<strong> free show<\/strong>, usually of clowns or marionettes, as well as Canarian dances and traditional music. If you go in the evening, you will be able to admire the<strong> wonderful illuminated fountains.<\/strong><br \/>\nThere is also a pleasant little caf\u00e9 on top of the hill, where you can sit in the sun and enjoy the <strong>pleasant view over the park.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>9. Real Club de Golf de Palmas<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Its <strong>ideal climate<\/strong> makes Las Palmas the <strong>perfect destination for golfers<\/strong>. The Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas is <strong>the oldest golf club<\/strong> in Spain. Jardin canario (Canarian Garden) de Las Palmas<\/strong><br \/><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"color: red;\"><\/br>A true beauty is the Jardin Canario in Las Palmas.<\/div>\n<p>This is probably one of <strong>the most beautiful Botanical Gardens you have ever seen<\/strong>. And what\u2019s more, admission is <strong>free<\/strong>! <br \/><\/br>This Las Palmas garden is <strong>divided into several gardens and attractions<\/strong>, each dedicated to indigenous species, and all of them offer an excellent introduction to the island\u2019s flora. The garden covers a steeply sloping arid area, and at the bottom is the damp, green gorge of Guiniguada, comprising many different natural environments. You will find varieties of plants that you have never seen before, like the candelabra euphorbia, sempervivum succulents and dragon trees, and there are also palms, pines, laurels and cacti. <br \/><\/br><strong>The cactus garden is a firm favourite<\/strong> with most of the visitors. <br \/><\/br>Wander through the gorge and discover all the subtropical plants and feed the ducks that you will find swimming there. It is the <strong>ideal place for a family outing.<\/strong><br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><strong>7. Caldera de Bandama, Las Palmas<\/strong><br \/><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"color: red;\"><\/br>Bring your camara, this crater deserves a shot!<\/div>\n<p>In the north of the island, some kilometres south of the capital, Las Palmas, you will find <strong>El Pico de Bandama<\/strong>, and off to one side of it, <strong>La Caldera de Bandama<\/strong>, and <strong>old and impressive volcanic crater.<\/strong> The route there is an experience in itself. All the way along the path <strong>incredible views<\/strong> open up to you. <br \/><\/br><strong>El Pico<\/strong> (the summit) reaches an altitude of<strong> 600 metres<\/strong> and offers a <strong>beautiful view over the north east<\/strong> of the island, especially over the capital, Las Palmas. <br \/><\/br>The crater, with a diameter of <strong>1,000 metres,<\/strong> is <strong>the biggest on the island<\/strong> and has a depth of 200 metres. Walk over the pathway of stones and lava and<strong> enjoy the awe-inspiring view over the crater<\/strong>. Down below you can see the remains of a small farmhouse and some goats walking about. You will notice <strong>the silence inside the crater<\/strong>, only broken by the sound of birds and the large lizards there.<br \/><\/br><strong>Note:<\/strong> There is also a restaurant and parking places for cars.<br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><strong>8. Parque Doramas (Park) of Las Palmas <\/strong><br \/><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"color: red;\"><\/br>Enjoy this beautiful piece of nature at Las Palmas.<\/div>\n<p>If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, visit this <strong>little treasure<\/strong>. Within the busy town of Las Palmas, there is a real oasis called<strong> \u201cCiudad Jard\u00edn\u201d<\/strong> (City Garden), whose main attraction is the Parque Doramas. <br \/><\/br>This<strong> magnificent park<\/strong> is <strong>full of fountains, charming ponds filled with carp and other fish, interesting statues, a municipal swimming pool and numerous types of indigenous flowers and plants.<\/strong> There is also <strong>a monument representing the indigenous people (<\/strong>the Guanches), who threw themselves over a precipice to escape capture, and which symbolises the resistance of their Chief, Doramas, after whom the park is named. <br \/><\/br>This is a place <strong>much enjoyed by families<\/strong>, especially on Sundays when there is a<strong> free show<\/strong>, usually of clowns or marionettes, as well as Canarian dances and traditional music. If you go in the evening, you will be able to admire the<strong> wonderful illuminated fountains.<\/strong><br \/><\/br>There is also a pleasant little caf\u00e9 on top of the hill, where you can sit in the sun and enjoy the <strong>pleasant view over the park.<\/strong><br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><br \/><\/br><strong>9. Real Club de Golf de Palmas<\/strong><br \/><\/br><\/p>\n<div style=\"color: red;\"><\/br>Time to hit a ball at this amazing course of Las Palmas.<br \/><\/br><\/div>\n<p>Its <strong>ideal climate<\/strong> makes Las Palmas the <strong>perfect destination for golfers<\/strong>. The Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas is <strong>the oldest golf club<\/strong> in Spain.
