An idyllic spot on the Costa Brava<\/h2>\n

The Mediterranean sea is calm and not too deep here. This has given the beach a good reputation among tourists as well as locals. With 500 metres of fine sand, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Lloret de Ma<\/strong>r<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Just 3km south of Lloret de Mar, heading towards Blanes, Santa Cristina Beach<\/strong> is accessible from the hermitage<\/a> that shares its name, at the end of a small path that winds its way among the pine trees. The cliff and the surrounding forest protect it from the wind and the waves.<\/p>\n

Sunbathe, take a dip or go for a visit: there are many activities available!<\/h2>\n

While it is less populated that the other beaches on the Costa Brava<\/strong>, from time to time the glass-bottomed cruise boats drop off some tourists here. There are several services available to holidaymakers: showers, beach lifeguards, lounger and beach umbrella rental and a little “chiringuito”. This will satisfy and reassure families on holidays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This place is also ideal for those who want to make the most of their stay in Lloret<\/strong> to go snorkelling<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On 24 July, don\u2019t miss the Santa Cristina\u00a0<\/strong>maritime procession <\/strong>that coincides with the Festa Major de Llor<\/strong>et de Mar<\/strong> (the annual town festival). The Saint\u2019s relics are brought all the way to the hermitage passing by Santa Cristina Beach.<\/strong> Once at the top, where the chapel is located, the views over the cove are unbeatable.<\/p>\n

If you continue along the beach to the south, beyond the rocky outcrop, you will discover another heavenly <\/strong>beach <\/strong>that is both exotic and unspoiled: Cala Treumal. <\/strong>It\u2019s a little corner of paradise!<\/p>\n
