Walking, hiking and biking: how to discover the Massif<\/h2>\n

On foot, by bicycle, by car: there are many ways to discover the Cadiretes Massif.<\/strong> Whatever you choose, we recommend that you exercise caution. By car, drive slowly to enjoy the view and also to avoid colliding with an animal. If you are on foot or on a bike, you may prefer a guided tour <\/strong>and if you are visiting alone, do not stray from the official paths! Remember to bring plenty of bottled water as the Catalan sun can be very strong!<\/p>\n

To discover the Cadiretes Massif by car, take the small winding road from Tossa de Mar<\/a> to Sant Feliu de Guixols<\/strong>. This way, you will cross the Massif while driving along the coast. When you get to the little cove in Salions, you can get back onto the road that leads to Llagostera. Now you can cross the hills from east to west. Be sure to stop at the Sant Grau sanctuary<\/strong> to enjoy a superb view.<\/p>\n

Please note that the best way to really enjoy this place is to opt for \u201cgentle\u201d modes of transport, in other words, ones that are respectful of the environment.<\/p>\n

The Tourist Office in Tossa de Mar<\/strong><\/a> suggests 3 trail bike routes in the Ardeny<\/strong>a-Cadiretes <\/strong>Massif<\/strong>: two of the circuits are difficult and the third is very difficult. If you are not a seasoned cyclist, then we recommend that you visit the Tourist Office in Tossa or contact them through tossainfo.eu for information about cycling trails that are suited to your level. Hillwalkers should opt for a guided excursion with a professional.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is good to know that original outings are regularly organised and leave from Tossa de Mar, for example, there is a workshop to make a wooden walking stick followed by a hike in the Cadiretes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Along your path you will find ancient signs, artificial caves, refuges and hermitages. These all bear historic witness to the peacefulness of this place as well as its strategic position on the C<\/strong>osta Brava<\/strong>. A visit to the Cadiretes Massif<\/strong> will take you to a completely different time and place for a few hours!<\/p>\n
