The east coast of Spain, on the Mediterranean Sea, comprises several regions known collectively as the \u201ccostas\u201d. We have listed below the names of the coastlines (\u201ccostas\u201d) from north to south, all the way down to the border with Portugal:<\/p>\n
Costa Brava<\/a> You may notice that we have listed the Costa Brava<\/strong> and the Costa Maresme<\/strong> separately. The Costa Maresme region, with its villages including Calella, Pineda de Mar and Malgrat de Mar, is often considered a part of the Costa Brava, but this is not the case. The Costa Maresme starts at Malgrat de Mar<\/strong> and finishes at Barcelona<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Tourists from all over the world flock to the Costa Maresme every year. What explains the popularity of this coast? The pleasant weather draws many visitors. Moreover, there is plenty to see and do in this region that is rich in history, art and culture. The Costa Maresme is not only a favourite destination for visitors who just want to relax, but also for anyone in search of a more active holiday. Coincidentally, the Costa Maresme is located in the Spanish province that is called\u2026 Barcelona.
