Es Castell is a stone clad country residence set in the heart of the beautiful unspoilt s'Horta valley affording truly magnificent undulating views across almond and olive groves towards verdant hillsides and the distant sea. The very friendley owner "Juan" of this mini countryside estate has a small private vineyard and olive grove producing excellent wines and olive oil. Very peaceful and private location which is ideal for a totally relaxing holiday amidst Mallorca's natural verdant countryside. Wrought iron gates open to the winding gravel driveway leading up to the entrance of the open courtyard. This is one of our very finest Exclusive countryside properties and highly recommended.

ACCOMMODATION

An arched oak door opens into the cobblestone courtyard and to the main entrance. As you enter the main hallway you are greeted with fabulous views of surrounding hillsides and valleys. An inner archway leads into the impressive lounge with comfortable sofa seating, corner bar, plasma TV, Playstation 2, DVD and complimentary internet access. The attractive dining room has seating for 10 persons and doorway to covered terrace affording those views. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer with icemaker, walk-in pantry, doorway to side patio and poolside terrace. Double bedroom with walk in dressing area, ensuite bath/shower room and private sun terrace. Twin bedroom with fitted wardrobes and access to sun terrace has adjacent shower room. Twin bedroom with fitted wardrobes and access to sun terrace has adjacent bath/shower room shared with the third twin bedroom.
Utility room with washing machine and dryer.
Stairs lead up to the impressive master double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and full ensuite bath/shower room with heated towel rail.
The private upper sun terrace is accessed via exterior steps. Here you can truly enjoy the magnificance of the undulating views towards the ancient Castell de Santuiri and distant sea. Superbly presented throughout with a wealth of beams, cooling teracotta tiles, Mediterranean pastal coloured walls painted in "Tierra Florestinas" style creating a delightful summer ambience.

SURROUNDINGS

Another special feature of "Es Castell" are the colourful mature gardens with winding pathways meandering through the lawns to various areas providing their own features. One area is shaded by scented pines providing welcome shade from the summer sun - ideal for afternoon siestas. The crystal clear eco (no clorine) swimming pool has the latest - sal agua system ensuring the cleanest freshest pool water and sun parasol. To one side of the curved pool with tiled "dolphin" feature and Roman steps is the brick built BBQ with covered side terrace and dining area. The gardens have numerous citrus, almond and even banana trees, scented herbs, exotic shrubs and Mediterranean plants. There is also a bird cage - extra amusement for the children. NEW for 2012; is the exterior heated Jacuzzi hot tub and Scandinavian Sauna with soundsystem. Please note - all children must be supervised by parents whilst within the area of the Jacuzzi.
For sports enthusiasts there is Volleyball, Petanca and table tennis table provided. One area of the garden is planted as a vineayard and olive grove. The owner has his own "Tafona" bodega and will be only too pleased to let you sample the wines and olive oil if you so desire.
This valley is a haven for so many birds, so for walkers and nature lovers this is an ideal location from where you can walk along and up the winding country tracks to the spectacular hilltop with the 1000 year old "Castell Santuiri" commanding views over much of Mallorca.
