Mallorca (or Majorca) is an island in the west part of the Mediterranean Sea. It is the largest island of the Spanish autonomous region of Balearic Islands or Baleares. The east and south coasts are characterized by the presence of many beaches and bays (calas). There are lagoons and bays around the marshes, the so called wetlands. Mallorca has several dune areas which changes its shape by constant wind and supply of sand. Other interesting places to visit are for example the resort city of Alcudia or Cap de Formenter.
