A harbour and fish market can be found on one side of the resort, offering stylish restaurants, great views and a pebbly beach. The popular, sandy Arenal Beach, on the other side has a palm-lined promenade of shops, bars and restaurants, while at night the town comes alive with market stalls and street performers.
