Blanes is a fantastic coastal town in the Spanish region of Catalonia, and the southernmost town along the Costa Brava. It's one of the popular sun destinations and that's why every year many people return to this lively town, which is simply waiting to be explored. And that's not just because the sun is always shining! The location is just excellent; the beautiful beach of the city is one of the most popular ones in the region. It's also the home of the typical island of Blanes, which symbolises the start of the Costa Brava. The most prominent boulevard is in the heart of the city and offers a wide range of activities for the whole family. At the end of the promenade is one of the Costa Brava's busiest harbours. With its many, spacious anchorages for fish and pleasure boats, it's no doubt an important milestone in this area. Just north of the harbour is the Calla de Saint Francesc. This small beach was rewarded a Blue Flag for its excellent services and particularly clear seawater.
