This original grand Ibicencan finca is well over three-hundred-years-old and served for centuries as the oilmill of this area.
 It was bought at the beginning of the 1960s by the entrepeneur Gerry Albertini, who commissioned the most renowned Ibisencan master builder of that time, Francisco Viñas, to reconstruct the property into his luxury stately home.
Mr. Albertini frequently threw lavish dinner parties attended by such noble gentry as the Shah of Persia, Princess Soraya and Aristotle Onassis…along with film stars Ava Gardner, Errol Flynn, Orson Welles and many other celebrities of that glamorous era.
 Orson Welles wrote here his script for the movie: “F for FAKE”.
At the end of the eighties the rundown property was converted into the stately home of Can Sa Roca as it is today.
Can Sa Roca is one of the largest and oldest residences on the island of Ibiza, perched on the side of a hill overlooking the quiet countryside of the pla de Portmany with its beautiful seaviews.
