A Perfect Holiday in Spain

What does Spain offer?

Spain is one of the top holiday destinations in Europe. Situated in the Iberian Peninsula, Spain enjoys a warm climate, mostly Mediterranean, but with sub-tropical influences in a few regions.

It is a very popular destination, especially for summer vacations, but do not imagine that winter lovers have no places to go; Sierra Nevada is famous for being the most southern region in which skiing is possible.

The vast art heritage, the unique architecture, the flamenco dance and the bullfights have transformed Spain into the second most visited country in the entire world.

Places to visit

Summer tourism has been the first to develop in Spain. Tourists from all around the world are attracted by the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean beaches as well as by the ones situated in the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. Costa Brava with its luxurious resorts is one of the most famous coasts.

Costa de Valencia having the city of Valencia as capital, Costa Blanca and Costa del Azahar are also among the most popular beach resorts. The list can continue with Costa Tropical, Costa de Almeria, Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz, all situated in Andalusia.

Cultural Tourism

For the ones who love history and culture, Spain has thirteen cities that have been declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. Madrid and Barcelona are also included on the list of cultural tourism: La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell in Barcelona, both works belonging to Gaudi and the numerous museums in Madrid are the main attractions.

Festivals

Festivals are another main attraction in Spain. The bull running in Pamplona, the movie festivals in Malaga and the music festivals in Bilbao are all lively, very exciting and most of all, full of adrenaline.

In addition to that, these festivals are the perfect places to taste the local cuisine. The numerous cultural influences have led to a wide range of unique dishes that spread thousands of flavors.

Accommodation

Tourists can choose from a long list of hotels as well as villas. The tendency in the last few years has been to choose villas to the detriment of hotels. The reason is simple: villas offer the same conditions as hotels, but most of them are situated in idyllic places.

Most tourists want to enjoy wonderful views and villas are mostly situated in rural areas, with easy access to the city. They are perfect for those who want to breathe the fresh air and also take advantage of what the city has to offer.
