The autonomous community of Aragon is located in the northeast of Spain and comprises three provinces; Zaragoza, Teruel and Huesca. Separated from France by the magnificent Pyrenean mountain range, this is an ideal holiday destination for relaxing in a region of outstanding natural beauty.

Zaragoza is not only the largest city, but also the capital of Aragon. Plaza Del Pilar is the main attraction of the city and also its social centre. The oldest monuments of the city are hosted by the Pilar Plaza, such as the Pilar Basilica, which dominates the entire city with its spectacular towers and its imposing domes. The San Juan Pena Monastery

The monastery has always been a popular attraction for tourists. Dedicated to St. John, there is an enormous rock hanging over it. In Muslim times, it was visited by pilgrims searching for the Roman chalice known as the Holy Grail. The chalice was exhibited by the monks who lived and worked at the monastery.

The Ordesa Park

Aragon is a perfect destination for nature lovers who cannot fail to be inspired by the Ordesa National Park. Founded in 1918, the Park was designated a Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO in 1997. Aragon is well known to most of us because Katherine of Aragon married King Henry V111 of England and was one of his few wives who managed to keep her head.
