Tamariu

Tamariu’s natural side has stayed intact

Tamariu, a peaceful village in a sheltered bay on the Costa Brava

Tamariu is a peaceful and idyllic village in a sheltered bay on Spain’s Costa Brava, located near the resorts of Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell. Tamariu owes its name to its green hills dotted with tamarind trees. The poor state of the roads leading to Tamariu has kept the developers at bay, so Tamariu has been able to maintain its charm as a small fishing village with only 300 inhabitants. The small winding roads lead you through the hills of pine trees to this somewhat set-in-its-ways village where the uncomplicated inhabitants warmly welcome you.
