Formentera- A perfect Spanish Destination to Unwind

Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands, often overshadowed by the chic retreats in Mallorca, the historical sites on Menorca, and the self-gratifying parties on Ibiza. But it is this under-developed wildness of the island that invigorates magnetism towards a slow paced life, secluded sandy coves and crystal clear waters.

Sant Francesc, is a small and sleepy fishing village and is also being capital of the island. Sant Francesc is known for its old museum and an 18 century church famous for its prettiness. The landscape of the island is almost flat which makes it ideal for hiking.

Formentera is also known for its mud baths. These authentic mud baths can deep cleanse the skin’s impurities and rejuvenate the whole body. The markets and hippy stores of Formentera have a number of herbs, medical plants, macrobiotic food, natural cosmetics and perfumes that can not be found elsewhere easily.

Despite the secluded location of Formentera Island, getting here is not difficult with airlines such as Iberia catering to a number of cheap flights to Palma. A ferry service to Formentera is also available. Holidays are meant for rejuvenation and relaxation; nothing could be better than spending some great time in Formentera and reinvent life.
