That was prior to Romans occupying this city. After initial defeat, Romans managed to take over the city from Vascones. This was followed by Moors and later Christians took over the city. This is one of the most populated cities of Spain. The famous Ebro valley of Navarre is most ideal for growing vegetables, wheat and wine. The area is rich in vegetation and the nature looks stunningly beautiful here. Apart from tourism, Navarre is also a trade centre.
