The Alcazar- Seville

One of the most attractive tourist spot is the Alcazar in Seville.  Seville, a city of Andalusia is located near the great river Guadalquivir. The city of Seville is also called as the capital of culture, art and finance and the Alcazar in this historical city needs no introduction because it is one of the tourist spots which attracts large tourists throughout the year.

The Alcazar in Seville is believed to have been built in the year 913. Significant improvement was made in the year 1350. This is an outstanding example of Mudejar architecture.

Apart from this, the Alcazar is also the best example of combination of various other architectural styles varying from Islamic to Neoclassical designs. Spacious rooms, halls, patios, fountains, splendid gardens are few of the many other attractions inside the Alcazar.

The doom in the ambassador room which is decorated with gilded cedar wood and the hunting patio are the other interesting feature of this Alcazar. If you are interested in seeing the Moors architecture then El Patio del Yeso is the ideal location in the Alcazar which is full of flowers and splendid streams. The rooms and chapel used by Charles V are luxuriously decorated with colored tiles and tapestries.

Never miss to visit El Patio de las Muñecas which is also called as the patio of the dolls. This patio is actually the bedroom and it is called as the heart of the palace. The immaculately beautiful El Patio which is luxuriously decorated and furnished wins the heart of every visitor.

The Alcazar is rich in gardens; the garden of poets (called as Jardin de los Poetas), the garden of Vega Inclan (called as  Jardin de la Vega Inclan), the English gardens (called as   Jardin Inglés), are the other places of interest for the tourist.
