The Beautiful Vilaflor

Spain, the amazing country that represents the holiday destination of millions of people from all the corners of the world, is the European country known as being both beautiful and diverse. The diversity and the beauty of everything that forms Spain represent the two reasons why people feel so attracted to see this country, the reason why the madness of booking places starts much in advance.

Spain is the type of country that you fall in love with from the first moment you step on its streets; tourists are usually charmed by the breathtaking landscapes, by the modern and cosmopolite cities that have a very futuristic aspect, by the traditional fishing villages where the inhabitants fight to keep the customs alive, by the unusual, but interesting traditions and by the absolutely delicious cuisine.

The range of monuments and architectural wonders in Spain is huge; the styles are very complex and unique as they show the fingerprints of so many cultures that at one time or another in the past showed interest in conquering Spain, while the historical heritage is impressive. It is impossible not to adore Spain, so choose one of its destinations and relax living some memorable moments!

Visiting Vilaflor

Of all the hundreds and hundreds of holiday destinations in Spain, I strongly recommend you Vilaflor. Vilaflor is renowned as being the highest parish in Tenerife, nestled somewhere high above the top of the mountains hosted by the southern part of the island. Vilaflor was originally a spa town and then a handicraft centre; it is easy to understand why it played the role of a spa town: up on the mountain, the views are charming, the upland air is pure and the Teide National Park fights to help the nature survive.

The tranquil town is a heaven for those who love hiking, as the pine forests are always ready to be explored. When you visit the town, all you have to do is to follow Calle Santo Domingo, which is the main streets and which will lead you to the beautiful plaza that hosts the amazing San Pedro Church, dating back to the 17th century. The handicraft shops spread all over the town offer you wonderful ideas of gifts for those back home, so make sure you visit them. Also make sure that you have time to walk up to the Mirador San Roque, the viewpoint that will leave you breathless with its views. Enjoy Vilaflor!
