The City Of Bilbao

The city of Bilbao, capital of the province of Vizcaya and largest town of the Basque Country, was able to escape from a situation of post-industrial stagnation, thanks to an ambitious renovation project called urbano. This city, which lies on the banks of the river Nevrion is populated by more than 1,000,000 inhabitants, mainly of Basque origin, and it is structured in three parts.

In fact, Bilbao is the old part, the new town, more modern, which has developed over the past century, and an even newer part, which is still in progress to establish itself as a European city of great development. The city is the main historical, political and administrative center of the region. Nearby there are the Museo Vasco and the Church of San Nicola. Walking in the nearby Calle de la Ribeira you can visit the Cathedral of Santiago and the Teatro Arriaga, two historic buildings in Bilbao. Not far from the Church of San Anton, Gran Via de Don Diego De Aro, the road runs through the new part of the city from the Puente del Arenal, which connects the old town, even to the San Mames Stadium, known for its grandeur.
