About the town:

Plaza des Born is the centre of this small and unique town. Around this square you will breathe in a lot of history: Plaza des Born is surrounded by old buildings, all with special architectural features. The northern part of the square is dominated by the Town Hall; it is the main attraction here and its magnificent Gothic style can be admired while visiting it.

However, there are also three other historical monuments in Plaza des Born: Palau Vivo, Palau Resort and Palau Torresaura, which is the largest one. Those are the three palaces that attract millions of tourists annually. The palaces have special programmes, depending on the season of the year so you should inform yourself before going to Ciudadela. In any case, in summer their gates are open most of the time.

The Ciudadela Cathedral and Museum:

The most important relics of the town are kept in Ciudadela Museum. Here, you can admire some jewellery and sculpture pertaining to different historical decades. The construction of the cathedral in Ciudadela was realised in about 75 years; it has a unique architecture and will amaze you with its beauty and majestic image.

Nightlife and the port area in Ciudadela:

The port of this small city was built in a small and quite bay. If you choose Ciudadela as your holiday destination, then you must take at least an hour off and admire this peaceful place: the panorama is absolutely gorgeous. The nightlife of this town is centred on this quite harbour. There are bars, pubs and restaurants that serve local specialities, mostly prepared with fish. Some steps onward, you’ll see Torre de San Nikolaou; it dominates the main beach of the town; reach its top and the view will take your breath away.
