Last but not least, the Moors ruled over Marbella before the Christians conquered the entire country of Spain. One of their monuments is the fortress that surrounds the outstanding Vega del Mar. Most of the monuments built by the Moors are to be found in the Old Town, one of the most charming areas in Marbella and also one of the most popular.
