The Statue of Christopher Columbus or Mirador de Colon is a 60 m monument dedicated to the explorer bearing the same name. It is located at the lower end of the La Rambla Boulevard in Barcelona.

It was originally built for Universal Expocision de Barcelona being located at the site where Columbus returned to Spain after his first voyage in America. The monument serves as a memento that Barcelona really is the place where the world’s most famous voyager reported to Queen Isabella and Ferdinand after his most famous trip of all.

Port Aventura is Spain’s largest amusement park totaling a staggering 825 hectares of land and it can be found around 10 km from Reus (Costa Dorara) and 120 km from Barcelona, more precisely, in the Salou resort in east Spain.
