The best Real Estate Agent in Lloret de Mar (Costa Brava)

There are quite a lot of real estate agents in Lloret de Mar. And I mean really quite a lot; they run comfortably into double figures. And there are a lot of bad real estate agents. I should know, because over the years I have visited many properties with agents for both sale and purchase, and I have run through the whole selling process with many of them. I know nearly all of them.

Now you may think: ´How hard can it be to buy a property or to offer one for sale?

Naturally, language is often a problem. Even if you speak some Catalan or Spanish, a lot of it remains guesswork. And guesswork is just what you don’t need when buying a villa or apartment. “What is the process? What are you going to be doing for me? What exactly is included in the price? Can you assist me in getting a mortgage? What are the rules here? How high are the buyers’ costs?” It is bad enough being largely dependent on a real estate agent, but you should really be able to understand him or her and know exactly what is awaiting you.

Your Northern European expectations of an orderly business transaction may already be set too high to start with.’Mañana’ is still a quite common situation with many agents. The office isn’t open when it is supposed to be, the agent doesn’t show up, hasn’t brought the keys along, didn’t prepare any documentation and doesn’t come back with answers to your questions. These are just a few examples of what can – and does – happen. You really don’t want to know what I have gone through over the years here!

This means your sale or purchase process can be much harder work than it needs to be. Luckily, among the doom and gloom, there is one bright spark I can tell you about! 🙂

For some years now, I have been working with Erwin Claasen and his team at MyHome CostaBrava. Erwin is Dutch and has a good command of various languages. Erwin does keep his promises and does his homework. Such a relief! And in the event that he doesn’t know something… he’ll find it out for you! Thanks to his 20+ years of experience, he understands exactly what the pitfalls are, and he knows his way through the purchase and sale processes. He also has Facebook page.

As well as looking after the purchase and sale of apartments and luxury villas, MyHome can also take care of the ‘follow on’ such as transferring electricity and water contracts, registrations, payment of taxes and all the other things you may not want to have to spend time on. That’s what I call providing a great service!

You can find the MyHome Costa Brava office at the end of the boulevard, across the road from a large parking lot with children’s play area.
