January
Do not miss out on the Three Kings parade. This children’s holiday is very important in Spain. On this occasion, the children go down the street with their lanterns to light the way for the three kings from the East. It is a magical moment where the children will see a sumptuous parade accompanied by music and entertainment.
February
Every year in mid-February, Lloret de Mar hosts the Blanes, Lloret and Tossa de Mar carnival. The towns don their best costumes to celebrate this party event. Come and see the street parades and processions -and the fancy dress competitions, too. There is entertainment for children. An unforgettable festival that will please the whole family!
June
During the Americanos Festival,you will discover another facet of the town. Also called Indianos, the Americanos were inhabitants of Lloret de Mar who left to make their fortune in America in the 19th century. When they eventually returned to their hometown, they helped to enrich it. To celebrate this period of their history, the current inhabitants of Lloret dress up in the fashion of the period. Enjoy the Indian market, Latin dance performances and even the historical walks and concerts.
October
Roam Lloret de Mar in search of its treasure! Geocaching (more commonly known are treasure hunting ;-)) will delight young and old alike. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to find more than 100 hidden treasures in the town. November
Dive into Lloret de Mar’s history with the Mediaeval Festival (Feria Medieval). The town centre changes its appearance with the installation of stages and various stands. Discover old crafts, learn calligraphy or even watch falcons fly. An original programme that will definitely appeal to children!
