Diving sites for all levels
Lloret de Mar enjoys an advantageous location for scuba diving. Apart from the pleasant water temperature (around 24° in summer and between 11 and 16° in winter), there are around a dozen diving points around the town, suitable for various levels. The depth varies depending on the diving site as well as the flora and fauna that can be observed.
Whether a first dive, to learn how to dive or simply because you like to dive, in Lloret de Mar you will find many options for discovering superb underwater treasures.
Rich underwater flora and fauna
On the sandy seabed, there are many species of fish. Among the posidonia plants you can observe rockfish like groupers or congers. In spring, you can come across moonfish among the rocks, not to mention octopus, lobsters and groups of tuna or barracudas.
Note that there are some exceptional diving sites dotted all along the Costa Brava. The Medes Islands are one example, where diving enthusiasts can appreciate this natural reserve located across from l’Estartit and where more than 600 underwater species can be found.
