Costa del Sol – An All Time Favorite Tourist Destination

There was a time, travelers used to reach Spain to visit Costa del Sol in particular. The credit goes to the beautiful beaches and warm sunshine that the coast offers. Costa del Sol is still a favorite amongst trouble but in modern traveler seeks to do a lot of other thing in Costa del Sol then just sunbathing.

Modern Costa del Sol is a lot different then what it used to be and it has been developed according to the time’s need. Modern Costa del Sol has something in store for all. The Mediterranean climate that the region offers caters to a lot of outdoor activities and sports. Sports enthusiasts can indulge in different activities ranging from golf to hiking, paragliding, sailing, fishing, tennis, windsurfing and skiing.

Culture vultures can participate in fiestas and can visit places such as theaters, concert halls, museums, palaces, churches and castles. The well-known Picasso Museum in Malaga, Pueblo and Cordoba, bullfighting museums in Mijas, cathedrals and concert halls in Seville and Malaga, historical buildings and palaces in Seville, sherry bodegas of Jerez or the hunting and the Ronda’s craft museums are worth a visit.

A lot of tourists find it interesting to visit quaint cobbled streets and white villages of Andalucía. The handicrafts that Spanish villagers make especially colorful pots made of with germanium with lemon and orange bonsai trees are famous. A lot of people purchase them as souvenirs. Nerja is another famous Nerja that have a cave along with stalagltites and stalagmites formations.

Nature lovers can find enjoyment in visiting protected natural parks like Donana. The pace is also ideal for bird watchers. A lot of endangered and rare species of both flora and fauna can be cited in natural parks located in lore and fauna Jaen region. Malaga province has a lake that flows into beautiful countryside and one can take extreme pleasure in spectacular mountain views.

Fuente Piedra has a lagoon that forms a natural lake in the outskirts of Antequera, making it a home to hoard of flamingoes.

There are a number of green places that one in visit like Malaga’s Botanical Gardens. A lot is in store for gastronomes as well. A lot of varieties available in drinks and food that ranges from tapas dishes to seafood of a large variety.

A plenty of accommodations that suit all budgets and range from hotels, rural farm houses, self catering villas and luxuries spa hotels are available in Costa del Sol. Children can also have a nice time in Costa del Sol as there are enough places that can interest children such as aqua Park, Tivoli world amusement park, crocodile park and zoo etc.
