Places of interest in Spain – San Sebastián

San Sebastian located to the South of Isabela does not need an introduction because it is popular amongst tourists as one of the most beautiful beaches of Europe. This is one of the beaches which receive highest number of tourists during the touring season. The beach is surrounded by beautiful nature. Tall Mountain stands parallel to the sea. The plain land in between the sea and the mountain is rich in vegetation. In the midst of this beautiful environment are villas and hotels. Undoubtedly, San Sebastian is the most ideal place to enjoy a quiet and rejuvenating holiday with family and friends.

Climate:

The climate in San Sebastian is another factor which encourages tourists to flock to this beach. Even during summer season, the beach has moderate temperature.

Apart from the beach, San Sebastian has many other places of interest for the tourist. Starting from the beach which has splendid environment, there are other places of interest also. The market plaza, Collazo, waterfall, Public square called as Dona Bisa Cabrero House, San Sebastian church, Sombrero hill, Cancha Luis Munoz Marin, Guajataca Scout reservation are some of the places of interest for tourists.

Apart from these, there is the Guajataca Lake which is most ideal for those who enjoy walking along the banks of the river which is full of vegetation. The Sombrero hill is the most ideal place for those who enjoy adventure sports like skiing, etc. The Robles waterfall is another place which is of interest to tourists of all ages. The waterfall is surrounded by most beautiful nature and this is one of the places which no tourist would ever miss. In fact some tourists are of the opinion that the waterfall is as popular as the beach.

Near the waterfall, many hotels and restaurants have been established so that the tourist can relish his wine enjoying the nature surrounding him.

Festivals:

January is a month of festivals in San Sebastian. Three kings’ festival, Heifer festival, Patronal religious festival and Ateneo Pepiniano cultural festival are some of the most popular festivals of San Sebastian. The other important festival held in January is ‘when the Chess tournament’ is held.

During the months of July and September the Hammock festival and Comeback to the mountain top festivals are held respectively. These festivals attract huge number of visitors from far and wide. In fact many tourists visit San Sebastian only to take part in these festivals.
