Touristic Tax

To all tourists planning to enjoy their holiday at the Spanish region Catalonia, keep in mind that there are new complusory touristic taxes (from 0.45 eurocents to 2.25 euros per person and per night).

Since the 1st of November 2012, Catalonia has been the first and only federal state / region in Spain to pay touristic taxes. These taxes are compulsory for both foreign and Spanish tourists who come to have a holiday in Catalonia.

Below an overview of the prices:

– Hotel 5 * cost 2,25 euros per night / person, both in Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia.
– Hotel 4 * cost 1,10 euros per night / person in Barcelona and 0,90 euro in the rest of Catalonia.
– Hotel 3 * cost 0,65 euros per night / person in Barcelona and 0,45 euro in the rest of Catalonia.
– Campsites cost 0,65 euros per night / person in Barcelona and 0,45 euro in the rest of Catalonia.
Houses and Apartments is 0.65 euros per night / person in Barcelona and 0,45 euro in the rest of Catalonia.

These prices are always per person and per night and just for people who are 17 and older. The maximum of nights for which you have to pay taxes is 7, NEVER more than this number.

Club Villamar has assumed that you’ll be 4 persons with the age of 17 year and older in your accommodation, and has added 12,60 euros will be added to the final amount. (4 people to 0,45 euro per day x 7 days = 12,60 euros)

But if you are less than 4 people who are over 17 in your accommodation, we kindly ask you to send us an e-mail to reservations@clubvillamar.com, so we can change and adapt the total amount to pay. And, on the contrary, if there are more adults, and you want to tell us, we’ll appeciate if you send us an e-mail.
