What are the places of interest for tourists in Spain?

Spain, a kingdom located in the South West of Europe is a member of the European Union. The country has a tradition of its own.  It is a country which has a different culture that is influenced by the various civilizations which ruled this kingdom.

This country has withstood the onslaughts by many civilizations from as long back as the medieval period. Some of the civilizations which ruled this country include Greeks, Moors, Romans, and Muslims. Each of the civilizations which ruled this country built many castles, churches, cathedrals, Mosques, National Parks, etc.

With the passage of time, successive civilizations which ruled the country ravaged the buildings built by their predecessors and built structures in their own unique style. The present government of Spain took lead to preserve these historic buildings and they are now converted into tourist spots. Added to this is the gift of Almighty, a beautiful nature, both on the beach and inland which dons entire Spain. In Spain every place has something interesting for the tourists.

It is certainly almost impossible to list all the places of interest for tourists in Spain. Some of the important places are Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Granada, Sevilla and these are just some of them. In fact, now tourism is a very important industry of this country. It is a major source for earning foreign exchange.

Spain has a long coastal line. At many places, rows of mountains run parallel to the sea. It presents a spectacular view. Similarly those who climb the mountains will witness the beautiful natural sceneries below and also of the sea. The beaches are perfectly maintained.

Some of the places in Spain are so much important from historical or archeological point of view that the UNESCO has declared these sites as places of ‘World Heritage’. Spain’s contribution to the world of arts is something which has no parallel. Picasso, Corte, Siloe and Arfe are some of the most renowned artists. Their available art works have been preserved with great precaution.

There are plenty of opportunities for sports like water sports and other sports like golf, tennis, football, etc. In fact, Spain has the best golf ground in the world. To greet the tourists, there are many villas and most of these are luxurious. The rentals of these villas are quite reasonable. The villas have all the facilities so that the tourists feel ‘at home’.
