Puig de Castellet is a small 650m² site that dates back to the 3rd century B.C. Originally, it was a fortification composed of a large wall and defensive towers. It was built by the local population, the Iberians, at the time when the Punic wars set Rome against Carthage.

Furthermore, the site bears witness to the importance of the relationship with the Mediterranean Sea in the history of Lloret de Mar.
