Diving in Spain – Magnificent underwater experience!

Diving in Spain

If you’d like to explore the underwater world, you don’t necessarily need to go to Egypt, Australia or the Maldives. Spain has a surprising amount of possibilities for divers of all kinds. Because of the large variation in diving areas, the waters around Spain are also known as the Caribbean of Europe.

The diving circumstances differ throughout the seasons, so divers have many options here. You’ll find diving schools along the entire Spanish coast, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Costa Brava, Costa Blanca and Costa Maresme on the Mediterranean Sea.A popular destination among divers is L’Estartit near Gerona.

The water temperatures vary between 12 degrees Celsius during winter and 22 degrees Celsius in the summertime, so diving is always pleasant at this nature reservation. Divers will also have a wonderful time around islands like Mallorca and Ibiza. The sights underwater are usually very good, varying from 20 to 25 metres. The diving locations near the Balearic Island are usually far from the shore, so make sure to do some proper planning before going out.
